Rethinking energy: our projects for the future
At the Future Energy Lab Wunsiedel, we develop solutions that actively shape the future of energy – grounded in technology, close to real-world applications, and with direct benefits for society, the economy, and the environment. Our projects focus on key challenges in energy supply: storage of renewable energy, use of green hydrogen, low-carbon mobility, and intelligent control through new technologies.
To this end, we set up real-world test environments and utilise local conditions, in which we develop, test and scale new concepts together with partners from research, industry, and the public sector.
What all projects have in common is a clear goal: to translate scientific findings into applicable, sustainable technologies – for households, businesses, municipalities, and the climate. Learn more about our ongoing projects.
