QuantumNetX
Project description
Quantum technologies offer great potential for the future – especially when it comes to solving complex problems in the fields of optimisation, molecular simulation, and artificial intelligence. Similar to how computers once triggered the digital revolution, quantum algorithms could significantly accelerate many developments.
The project aims to create a joint platform for quantum technologies. Universities, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and other partners are participating in this project. The focus is on the exchange of knowledge – particularly from research institutions to companies – across national borders. In this way, we aim to promote the use and further development of this pioneering technology.
Research and innovation centers (R&I centers) create practical case studies based on existing data. These are presented in a comprehensible manner at workshops, network conferences and other events and made available to SMEs. Companies can apply and further develop the results directly. A key advantage of the platform lies in the role of universities: they can pool their broad scientific expertise and the findings of other stakeholders and pass them on in a targeted manner – without any commercial interests. This puts the focus on open knowledge transfer, which further accelerates the innovation process.
